DraftKings Sportsbook App Launched in West Virginia
West Virginia received Wednesday a mobile sportsbook app powered by US bookmaker DraftKings at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.
Gambling operator Penn National Gaming revealed July 31 its partnership with DraftKings, claiming that the bookie would power its casinos.
“We are thrilled to continue our DraftKings Sportsbook expansion by getting our product into the hands of West Virginians,” said co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at DraftKings Matt Kalish. “DraftKings knows the American sports fan better than anyone, and we look forward to proving that in the Mountain State,” he added.
In order to make pre-match, in-game, and live wagers, gamblers must reside in West Virginia.
New Jersey was first to receive DraftKings mobile betting product in August 2018. Since then, it has paid out more than $720 million to bettors.
