Oregon Sports Betting App Could Accept Up to $250K Deposit
A quarter of a million dollars could be the deposit limit in Oregon’s sports betting app Scoreboard, Lottery officials announced on Tuesday.
The Oregon Lottery revealed in August its plan to launch Scoreboard in time for the NFL season. However, with the Week 6 of the league underway, the app is still to be released. The Lottery expects to launch Scoreboard next week.
“The deposit limit is $250,000,” said Lottery spokesperson Matt Shelby.
“Theoretically, if someone had the means to deposit a quarter-million dollars into their player account, they could wager it,” he added.
The Lottery officials are yet to decide whether Scoreboard will accept a single bet amounting to $250,000.
The app will also feature in-game betting, enabling bettors to wager on, for instance, the number of touchdowns by halftime, but it will not accept bets on college teams.
Online platform supplier SBTech will power the app following SBTech’s agreement with Oregon Lottery reached in June.
