Indiana Welcomes DraftKings
DraftKings continues the expansion in the U.S. market, debuting Thursday a digital sportsbook in Indiana.
The launch of DraftKings Sportsbook came just a day after the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) approved a license to the bookmaker, permitting it to render sports wagering services.
“With Indiana becoming the latest state to offer legalized online and mobile sports betting, we are excited to provide the top-rated sportsbook app to some of the nation’s most passionate and dedicated sports fans,” said Matt Kalish, co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at DraftKings.
DraftKings went live through a partnership with gambling operator Penn National Gaming (PNG), which manages Ameristar East Chicago. The casino resort opened a retail sportsbook on September 1.
Besides betting on professional teams, gamblers will be able to wager on collegiate sports, including Indiana’s Division I.
DraftKings isn’t the only one to offer online sports betting in the state.
