Hard Rock Las Vegas Set to Close for Renovation
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas will be closed for renovation from February of next year to transform into Virgin Hotel.
Investment group Virgin Group purchased the casino resort in March 2018, announcing that the venue would shut down for four months to receive a refurbishment worth “hundreds of millions of dollars.”
“We determined that a phased closing of four months, followed by a total closure of four months was not efficient from a construction process,” said Richard Bosworth, President and CEO of J.C. Hospitality, whose company is redeveloping the property.
The $200 million renovation is set to commence after the Super Bowl weekend with the construction work being carried out on hotel rooms, gaming, and nightlife entertainment.
The property will reopen in late 2020.
