FanDuel to Launch Mobile Sports Betting in Indiana
The third mobile sports betting app is coming to Indiana on Tuesday, with the bookmaker FanDuel set to become the third online sportsbook in the state.
The Hoosier State embraced the bookmaker on September 5 when the FanDuel Sportsbook debuted at Boyd Gaming’s Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa. The partners took $3.9 million in sports handle in the first operational month.
The Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) revealed Monday that Fanduel “has substantially demonstrated that its mobile sports wagering operation meets its requirements,” permitting the bookie to start accepting mobile bets on Tuesday.
FanDuel mobile application will render services under the license issued to Blue Chip Casino.
DraftKings and Rush Street Interactive beat FanDuel to the Indiana market, launching their apps on October 3. The three licensed operators are likely to be joined by Rising Star Casino Resort and BetIndiana in the upcoming weeks.
Apart from Blue Chip Casino, FanDuel powers sports betting at Belterra Casino Resort, where the partners accepted $709,219 in sports bets in September.
Currently, Indiana can be likened to a sports betting island as its four neighboring states are yet to legalize the activity.
