Raiders Make San Manuel Casino Founding Partner
A California tribal casino became Monday the first Native American gambling venue to partner with the Oakland Raiders, aiming at embracing the NFL team’s fan base in Southern California.
San Manuel Casino, owned by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, so far has nine sponsorship deals across the NHL, NFL, MLS, and MLB, priding itself on being the partner of Southern California’s “thrilling” teams.
The Raiders revealed a founding partnership with San Manuel Casino, looking to provide high-quality sports and entertainment to patrons.
“We are pleased to have San Manuel Casino as a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium,” said Raiders President Marc Badain.
“Together we remain aligned in our dedication to providing our fans with the best in-class experience,” he added.
Allegiant Stadium will promote San Manuel Casino within the premises, with the tribe acquiring a luxury box. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Badain expects the agreement to increase tourism from Southern California to the team’s Las Vegas stadium.
In 2018, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians started a $550 million project, seeking to add a 450-room hotel next to the casino.
