Pennsylvania Gets Permanent Sportsbook at Rivers Casino
Pennsylvania received a new $5 million permanent sportsbook on Monday at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, with property officials saying that it will be more popular than its predecessor.
Five months after the state’s lawmakers legalized sports betting, Rivers Casino opened a temporary sportsbook, announcing that it would undergo renovation to develop a permanent facility.
“We expect to see a lot of black and gold in our new sportsbook, today and every day,” said Rivers Casino General Manager Bill Keena.
“Pittsburgh’s incredibly loyal fans, who include not only guests but our own Team Members, are what make our BetRivers Sportsbook truly special,” he concluded.
The BetRivers Sportsbook spans 5,500 square feet, featuring 33 self-service betting kiosks together with six betting windows. Like its temporary predecessor, the permanent facility accepts wagers on different sporting events, including basketball, football, and college sports.
