Evolution Gaming to Expand Live Casino Studio in New Jersey
Evolution Gaming received the go-ahead last week to expand its Atlantic City Live Casino studio from the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).
In August 2018, Evolution revealed it would tap into the U.S. market, launching the Live Casino studio, with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City serving as its home. The facility marked the first time the company would operate in the USA and second in North America, having opened a studio in Canada as well.
The DGE gave the green light to Evolution Gaming to expand the New Jersey-based Live Casino studio by over 3,000 square feet on November 12.
The casino solutions provider will more than double the facility, increasing the number of tables it offers. Evolution will add 26 gaming tables — 24 of which are reserved for Blackjack.
Conditions for Approval
The DGE has imposed conditions which Evolution Gaming will have to meet to use the expanded gaming space.
Firstly, it will need to comply with CCTV requirements, recording gaming tables at all times while ensuring the cameras are accessible to the DGE. Secondly, the Hard Rock Security Department is still required to be in charge of the studio’s security.
And lastly, following the expansion, the DGE will inspect the Live Studio, making sure it conforms to regulations.
Evolution Comes to New Jersey Market
Evolution was the first casino solutions supplier to receive the DGE’s Preliminary Waiver approval in 2013. After five years, it opened its first studio, with CEO Martin Carlesund saying that the expansion was a well-thought-out project.
