Bookmaker William Hill US and Nevada-based gambling operator Affinity Gaming inked a deal on August 15 to launch a sportsbook in Iowa.
Affinity Gaming announced Thursday it would open a sports betting facility at Lakeside Hotel & Casino, giving bettors a chance to “benefit from best-in-class technology, access a “diverse” sports betting menu and enjoy a premier sports betting experience.”
“The new sportsbook will provide the highest level of entertainment and customer service in Iowa,” said VP & General Manager for Lakeside Hotel & Casino David Monroe.
The Osceola-based casino resort will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Joseph Reynolds, a WWII veteran, placing the first bet.
Gamblers who open an account between August 15 and September 28 will have an opportunity to win a $10,000 trip to any sporting event in the United States.
