Erie-based Presque Isle Downs & Casino is preparing to run a two-day trial period for its sportsbook.
In February, gambling operator Churchill Downs received a license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), which enabled it to introduce a sports betting facility at its venue.
Presque Isle is getting ready to offer sports betting on July 24 with the testing period set to end on July 25. The property’s General Manager Kevin O’Sullivan said that the venue “will probably be the most exciting place to be when you’re talking sports.”
The PGCB will oversee the process and ultimately decide whether Presque Isle will launch permanent sports wagering on July 26.
