New Hampshire Set to Legalize Sports Wagering

New Hampshire is set to permit legal sports betting wagers this week.

Governor Chris Sununu is expected to enact a bill permitting sports wagering on Friday. If signed, the legislation would also bring mobile gambling to around 10 retail venues in the state.

The New Hampshire Lottery Commission will oversee and manage the industry which is expected to gross $7.5 million in the 2021 fiscal year and $13.5 million in 2024.

Since the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the ban on the gambling activity, it has been legalized in eight states with six more set to open their first sportsbooks by the end of the year.
