The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) is coming to Michigan on October 10, preparing to award more than $1 million in prizes to players.
The MSPT was launched in 2009 as the Minnesota State Poker Tour, and a year later, it extended into Iowa, eventually altering the name to “Mid-States.” Ever since its inception, the tournament has awarded more than $97 million to participants.
The tour’s next stop is FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan, where players will compete for more than $1 million in guarantees from October 10 to 13.
The $1,100 buy-in, $1,000,000 GTD championship is expected to exceed a seven-figure prize pool. Participants will compete in three starting flights with the surviving players from each flight set to return on October 13 to play until the winner is pronounced.
Last year, the event featured over 1,200 entries, and American Matt Stammen assumed the first place, receiving $218,565.
