MGM Springfield failed to increase its gross gaming revenue (GGR) in June, recording the second-worst month ever since opening for business.
In August 2018, the new casino resort opened its doors in the western Massachusetts city, but it has failed to fulfill its revenue targets ever since inception.
According to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC), MGM Springfield took in $19.95 million in June, marking a 10.5% drop in revenue when compared to the month before.
This month is the second-worst for the property figure-wise, coming behind January when it grossed $19.7 million. In addition, the venue failed to produce at least $5.31 million in tax revenue for Massachusetts in January and June.
Last month, MGM’s only property in the state paid out $4.98 million in taxes.
