Online poker player “Junglemandan” has won $276,511 at partypoker POWERFEST, surviving a field of 131 players.
American Daniel Cates started playing poker online in 2008. He received his biggest tournament prize in 2014 — more than $1.7 million in the €100,000 EPT Super High Roller. Since then, Cates’ total live earnings have increased to $7.3 million.
The 30-year-old player participated Sunday in the $10,300 buy-in Super High Roller POWERFEST, going against the likes of partypoker professional “Krissyb24” and novice player “PayAndPlay.”
“Junglemandan” prevailed against “PayandPlay” at the final table, securing a $276,511 payout. The runner-up received $240,807.
Canadian “Krissyb24” took ninth place and a $29,082 payout.
The event awarded the first 20 players, featuring a $1.3 million guaranteed prize pool.
