Gaming and hospitality company Hard Rock International started accepting sports bets Friday in Iowa, launching a GiG-powered sportsbook.
Hard Rock joined more than ten Iowa-based gambling venues that have been offering sports wagering since August.
“Whether you are seasoned at sports betting or if you are new to the game, our sportsbook team looks forward to providing a professional but personal approach to make sure your experience rocks,” said Anthony Torres, Hard Rock’s Director of Sportsbook Operations.
Sports betting technology provider Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) is behind the new facility in Sioux City. This marks the second Hard Rock-operated venue GiG is powering — the first being Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
The Hard Rock Sioux City Sportsbook includes four betting windows, providing gamblers with over-the-counter wagering.
As of now, mobile and online betting isn’t available; however, casino resort officials stated that it would go live in Q4 2019.
Prior to the launch of the sportsbook, Hard Rock revealed that it extended its partnership GiG to cover Iowa.
