The Battle of Malta 2019 is preparing to gather poker players at Casino Malta in October, featuring cash games and a €1 Million Guaranteed Main Event.
The tournament is heading into its eighth consecutive year, with a total prize pool of more than $8 million paid out to date. Since 2012, the Battle of Malta has hosted around 12,000 participants.
This year, the tournament will feature a $2 million prize pool. It will be held in Malta’s InterContinental Arena Conference Center, October 15-22.
Players will compete in poker events and satellites with buy-ins ranging from $65 (€60) to $5,800 (€5,300).
The highlight of the competition will be the Battle of Malta €555 Main Event, offering a €1 million guarantee. The event is expected to attract more entrants than last year (3,816).
Professional poker player Patrik Antonius will host his eponymous event Poker Challenge Pop-up Cup with a $328 (€300) buy-in.
The Eden Leisure Group runs the Battle of Malta. Since its inception, the tournament is aimed at low and mid-stake poker players.
