The World Poker Tour (WPT) Maryland is coming to Hanover-based Live! Casino & Hotel, with players set to receive over $1.5 million in prizes.
Last year, WPT attracted more than 500 candidates to contest for a prize pool of $1.7 million. American player Tony Ruberto took home a $344,755 payout, winning the $3,500 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event.
“We are proud to have the prestigious World Poker Tour® Maryland return to our popular Poker Room in the fall of 2019,” said Mike Smith, Director of Poker Operations at Live! Casino & Hotel.
The competition, taking place from September 20 to October 7, will feature 21 events, including the $1.5 million guaranteed $3,500 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event.
In addition, the WPT will finish with a $360 buy-in multi-flight no-limit hold’em event that has a $500,000 prize pool.
