The 2019 MSPT Michigan State Poker Championship crowned Monday Bobby Noel, its latest champion who took home over $262,000.
Ever since starting his career a decade ago, the Pennsylvania native has participated in over 40 tournaments, his total live earnings amounting to more than $500,000. On Sunday, Noel recorded his best payout at FireKeepers Casino.
Poker News quoted the professional poker player as saying he’d probably compete in the MSPT again, stating that he was feeling good.
“I haven’t been playing a ton this year. I had some success last year. Things just seem to be working out pretty well for me,” he added.
Describing the final table as “the hardest” he has played so far, the 31-year-old prevailed over the industry’s veterans, including WSOP bracelet winner Keven Stammen and former MSPT winner Aaron Massey, who won a combined total of $142,419.
The 2019 MSPT Michigan State Poker Championship featured three starting flights with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million.
With the tournament attracting over 1,600 entrants, the guarantee increased to more than $1.5 million.
